Hilary Duff Going to Be a Mom

Hilary Duff and pro hockey player Mike Comrie dated for a couple of years before getting married on August 14 in Santa Barbara, Hilary couldn’t be happier to be moving forward with Mike, 30, after a year together, proclaiming that they are, “Ready to start this new chapter in our lives.”

Now it’s for real! No word on when she’s due or the gender of their upcoming bundle of joy, but we suspect we’ll hear much more about it in the coming months.

On the heels of their 1 year wedding anniversary, the former Disney star who gained fame as Lizzie McGuire star Hilary Duff took to her blog to share the big news that she and hubby Mike Comrie are expecting their first child.

"I can't believe it has already been a year, time really flies when you're having fun, We also want to share the exciting news that baby makes three. We are extremely happy and ready to start this new chapter of our lives."

Duff, tweeted on Sunday afternoon, “Wow! I am just overwhelmed by all of the wonderful messages everyone is sending!  Thank you so much! Big hugs! Xxo.”

And just days before Duff's big announcement, she hinted to us that she and Comrie were ready to start a family.

"I think it was important to us that we had a year to just do whatever,"  Hilary said. "And maybe longer than that because we enjoy having so much freedom. But we're thinking about it."
